What I learned is that when you have children with allergies it is essential to help them form a healthy digestive system from the beginning. Because this will lay the foundation for a good overall health later.

Its also important to help children develop patterns of healthy eating from an early age, what you feed them at the beginning will be the base of their food tastes. It can be hard enough to plan ahead and prepare everything fresh, but thats only temporary and youll be amazed later that it all worked out.

If you start with sweet food it will be hard to make them eat something else later. My little one has no problem in drinking smoothies with ginger and greens, she drinks them as if they were milkshakes.

Dairy Free And Gluten Free Snacks On A Toast

Since I cant have processed foods, gluten or dairy in my diet, I needed healthier snack alternatives. I had to get creative because for me, toast is my go-to snack. Its quick to prepare, keeps me full and prevents me from binging on other unhealthy foods. So here are some of my favorite ways to top a toast:

Why Follow A Dairy

Well, let me explain.

You see, we all have consumed grains, dairy, legumes, and meat in our lifetime, yes? Yes! I eat them all. Gluten-free grains of course.

But heres the thing. As I sit here typing up this post, I can tell my brain and body need a little calming down. Its been on the crazy cycle for oh weeks now! YIKES! Yes, stress can really take a toll on ones health and deplete you of important key MINERALS.

You know what else it can do? It can cause that oxidative stress to rise and if we are under chronic stress , the physical and mental kind, then our immune system is going to have a hard time responding. It will try to react and recover but doesnt have the necessary nutrients in order to do so. Hey, its pretty tired of trying to fight, ya know? Hence the continuous inflammation of the body and brain. Sad, but true.

On the other hand, a little stress and a little inflammation can be good for the body. If you are healthy, managing stress, and moving the body daily, then your body will easily recover from that acute stress and build it up stronger.

Unfortunately, for many of us, we get stuck in the chronic stress cycle. Am I right? Raising hand! Which is why I thought it was about time we make another anti-inflammatory meal plan. Our first anti-inflammatory meal plan focused on grain-free and gluten-free recipes. This plan focuses on gluten-free and dairy-free.

What To Serve Your Gluten

When it comes to serving your gluten-free dairy-free snack board, you can go any which way you want. When Im at home, I often pile these different ingredients up on my cutting board and let everyone come graze as they pass by.

Last year for Christmas when I brought a snack board to a family gathering, I put everything in a roasting pan, because I needed the sides to keep everything in place while I was transporting it there.

The thing about snack boards is that the idea is that its casual. Even if things look fancy when all put together, because it looks like everything has a place, you and I both know its not about expert precision on where things go.

Its just about putting things on the board, and filling in the spaces to make it look pretty and complete.

Choose from cutting boards to a plate or platter to a roasting pan if youre traveling. Pizza stones or pans or baking sheets work just as well. Get as creative or simple as youd like!

I also like having a few small dishes and ramekins for some hummus and dips on hand. That way I can place my dips on the board, then fill in around them, since they take up the most space.

For the most part, all the other ingredients can be arranged around these somewhat harder lines.
