Use Naan As Pizza Dough

This is a great trick.

Use Trader Joes frozen naan or fresh naan as pizza dough. This is really easy to make in a toaster oven. Let it thaw if frozen, then top the naan like regular pizza and cook it for 5-10 minutes until cheese melts.

Use this recipe for ravioli pizza on naan bread to try it out.

Roasted Garlic And Pesto Pizza With Deep Fried Crust

It’s gone viral on TikTokand has flown off the freezer shelves, but unless you like your novelty pizza to be a cakey, spongey crust, I can’t recommend this much-hyped pie. The four-cheese blend is fine enough, but the globby, oily wells of pesto are an unappetizing shade of not-so-fresh green and the roasted garlic makes a cameo as, at most, a whisper of flavor. Trader Joe’s boasts that customers have “never had anything quite like it!” and that’s true–but not necessarily in a good way.

Tjs Cauliflower Pizza Crust: Our In

Taste

When the crust is fully baked and broiled with toppings, it fully absorbs the flavors of your chosen toppings. You will not taste cauliflower or any of the other ingredients.

However, you may sense a mild cauliflower after-taste when youre done eating. It wont be strong and it usually disappears shortly.

Texture

The texture is where Trader Joes cauliflower crust gets its bad rep. Many have said that the crust does not get crispy and firm, and its fluffy.

Well, we kind of agree.

We made 6 attempts to make the crust as crispiest and firm as possible.

We adjusted the baking and broiling times based on initial attempts, and finally, in our last round, the pizza became crusty crispy on the outer end and not too fluffy on the inner end.

Check out our recipe and baking tips for instructions on how to adequately bake and broil this crust.

Smell

You may sense a mild scent of cauliflower immediately after unwrapping the crust.

But, after fully baked, the crust will absorb its toppings and have no distinct smell on its own.

Size

The crust is 10 inches in size and thin. It does not change size or volume after fully baked.

Where To Find Trader Joes Pizza Dough

Gluten Free Soft Pretzels from Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Fresh Pizza Dough

The private label brand is only sold at Trader Joes. Its under the Italian name Trader Giottos.

Fresh dough is found in the refrigerated section. Though, sometimes its still thawing which is good to know if youre going to be using it the same day.

In my local Oregon store, the refrigerated pizza dough is near the refrigerated pasta and hummus. Its always at the bottom of the case, not stacked in the shelves.

Frozen TJs pizza dough is sold in the freezer section, obviously. Near the Italian food.

Trader Joes pizza crusts that is, pre-made dough that you top and bake that has a shelf life like bread is found in the bread section. They have a really cool looking rectangular pizza crust thats great for making flatbreads. I use it for entertaining a lot.

Organic Roasted Vegetable Pizza

I always keep this reliable workhorse of a pizza in our freezer for one reason: it does right by its veggies. If you’re a parent, it can be a struggle to find a balance between healthy and appealing for kids, but the Trader Joe’s Organic Roasted Vegetable Pizza fits that bill, and then some. For starters, it’s loaded with fresh, tender vegetables ranging from eggplant to squash . The sourdough crust mimics that of a delivery pie while adding an earthiness that plays well with the truly robust vegetable topping. Kids eat it, adults enjoy it, it’s quick to make, and priced affordably. What’s not to love?

Trader Joes Pizza Dough Cheese Sticks

Pizza Dough Cheese Sticks are made the same way as pizza, but without the sauce and typically a little butter, garlic, and herbs. Theyre considered more of an appetizer , but you can serve them as a main course, too. We like them with a green salad and a glass of white wine. The kids eat them off the pan and disappear to their rooms. #teenagers
