These Homemade Gluten Free Pop Tarts Are Different From Most

You can make toaster pastries with a basic gluten free pastry crust. In fact, if you search for homemade pop tarts recipes, thats mostly what youll find.

But if you want them to taste like the Pop Tarts you remember, youll need a different crust recipe. In this recipe for gluten free pop tarts, the butter is melted, not cold like in traditional pastry.

In very few of our recipes do we use gluten free flour. Instead, we try to make naturally gluten free recipes using whole food ingredients like oat flour and almond flour. Using this philosophy does make it difficult in baked goods to come up with a suitable texture. Gluten does go a long way in bringing in a fluffy, beautiful muffin texture. For these muffins weve used oat flour and rolled oats as the base for the muffin, but added a few tricks so they turn out moist and beautifully fluffy.

Savory Gluten & Dairy Free Avocado Toast With Sardines

This is one of my favorite sugar free savory breakfast recipe that is really quick to make.

This savory breakfast its really satisfying for those days when you have salty cravings. The rich fatty flavor and texture of this avocado toast helps cut down on the fishy notes of the sardine, turning this simple gluten free dairy free breakfast into something very delicious and filling!

For this I used agluten free sourdough bread bunthat I previously made. I keep them in the freezer and in the morning, I just throw a few buns in the toaster, slice or mush some avocado, and top them with caned wild caught sardines.

I like those sardines because the fish is cleaned and deboned, theyre in olive oil, not soy, plus theyre wild caught, not farmed. Farmed fish are usually genetically modified and fed with chemicals.

The best part about sardines is that they are also one of the most nutritious fishes in the sea. They have one of the most concentrated sources of omega-3 fatty acids plus theyre a great source of vitamin D, and vitamin B12.

Chunky Monkey Oatmeal Breakfast Wrap

Peanut butter, banana, dark chocolate chips, and cooked oats with a bit of cocoa powder mixed in.

Feel free to add in nuts. Heck just throw in some of my chunky monkey trail mix for crunch.

Cooking the rice in part coconut milk gives it a flavor similar to my original gluten free breakfast idea, coconut rice porridge. Plus, it gives the rice a little sweetness.

Its the perfect resistance starch filler. Good for the gut! Then, just add some berries, cinnamon, and almond butter. BAM!

When our family first went gluten-free, I found breakfast to be one of the hardest meals when it came to planning. Often the mornings were busy, and I didnt have time to prepare and cook a meal from start to finish. So, I started a list of gluten free breakfast ideas that I could refer back to when I was planning my grocery shopping and it helped a lot!

Now, I have 15 breakfast recipes to share with you, each of which has a step that can help you prepare beforehand so that you can make it quickly in the mornings. Some are sweet and some are savory, and theyre all delicious. All of the recipes are gluten free and dairy free, and some of them are vegan and nut free. Any of the recipes that call for almond milk can be substituted with another non-dairy milk if needed.
