How Do I Eliminate Gluten And Dairy From My Diet

The first step to eliminating gluten and dairy is to educate yourself on their effects and where theyre most commonly found. Once youre aware of where gluten and dairy may be hiding in food, you can make more informed choices at the store and at the restaurant.

Stick to a whole foods diet naturally free of dairy and gluten. Dairy is naturally a gluten-free food. If you choose to purchase processed foods, be very mindful of ingredient labels and contamination warnings. Often, even if a product is gluten or dairy free, it may have been processed on the same equipment as gluten or dairy containing products. Get my clean eating food list.

When eating out at restaurants, inform your waiter that you cannot consume dairy or gluten. Restaurants may cook certain foods in butter, or prepare foods on a surface covered in flour or even put flour into foods such as omelets, to make them more presentable. You cannot always trust seemingly gluten or dairy-free dishes so make sure to ask. To avoid contamination, communicate with your server and impress the importance of your restriction upon them. Remain firmyou can even ask them their specific processes for avoiding contamination. Many restaurants will even have gluten-free and dairy-free options!

When I agreed to do the video I had no idea we were committing to three months. It does make sense because A1C measures glucose attached to hemoglobin and those cells live about three months. For the first four weeks I was super committed and unwilling to waiver. By two months, I fell into a short depression that there was so much time left. What do I mean by the DIET? Now, here is the definition of Diet by Wikipedia:

1. the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats.

2. a special course of food to which a person restricts themselves, either to lose weight or for medical reasons.

This is what we have been told for years. We believed that a diet is a dirty word, an average person wouldnt need to have one. Right? WRONG! Every single human being needs TO BE ON A DIET. A HEALTHY one. The good start is to work out what the body is missing and then fill in the gaps.

The definition of the HEALTHY DIET by Wikipedia:

A healthy diet is one that helps to maintain or improve overall health. A healthy diet provides the body with essential nutrition: fluid, adequate essential amino acids from protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and adequate calories.

We survived. We made it. Moreover, we have adjusted well. No one threw a tantrum yet. The massive benefit: we introduced MORE veggies. Savory Gluten & Dairy Free Avocado Toast With Sardines

This is one of my favorite sugar free savory breakfast recipe that is really quick to make.

This savory breakfast its really satisfying for those days when you have salty cravings. The rich fatty flavor and texture of this avocado toast helps cut down on the fishy notes of the sardine, turning this simple gluten free dairy free breakfast into something very delicious and filling!

For this I used agluten free sourdough bread bunthat I previously made. I keep them in the freezer and in the morning, I just throw a few buns in the toaster, slice or mush some avocado, and top them with caned wild caught sardines.

I like those sardines because the fish is cleaned and deboned, theyre in olive oil, not soy, plus theyre wild caught, not farmed. Farmed fish are usually genetically modified and fed with chemicals.

The best part about sardines is that they are also one of the most nutritious fishes in the sea. They have one of the most concentrated sources of omega-3 fatty acids plus theyre a great source of vitamin D, and vitamin B12.
