Emma started Honeybuns in 1998 in a kitchen with deliveries to customers on bicycle. Honeybuns has grown organically to now provide delivery of our tasty gluten free treats both via our online shop to the public as well as to trade.
Honeybuns cake slices and traybakes include our Classic Range of gluten free cakes for when an indulgent treat is called for…or try our Vegan Range which is gluten free and plant based.
We also have some delectable gluten free gifts for all those special occasions, including cute gift tins.
Honeybuns All Day Cook Book is filled with over 100 gluten free and veggie sweet and savoury recipes to take you from breakfast to supper, with dairy free, vegan and nut free options too.

Hi We’re Lois & Sarah The Mother
We were both diagnosed with celiac disease over 20-years ago. We quickly discovered how challenging it was to find tasty food you can eat in a world full of gluten, so we decided to create our own. After three years of trial-and-error, Lois opened up our home kitchen to bake gluten-free for others in 2003. Hearing customers say that “you’d never know this was gluten-free,” we moved into our first commercial space in 2009. Ten years later, we opened our current bakery at 4 Carmichael Street in Essex Junction, Vermont. Most days you’ll find us or our bakers behind the counter, baking, refining new recipes, and discovering new ways to help others live healthy, gluten-free lives.

Were not currently offering dine-in service, but we are open for walk-in takeaway purchases. Simply call in to order, or walk inside to view our fresh pastry case and well be happy to help you. We are still requiring masks for all customers. We cant see those smiling faces anymore but love to see those smiling eyes. Were still offering contactless pickup to those who need this service, and were happy to arrange this.
All our baked goods are freshly made daily in our gluten free production kitchen, located behind our shop. Our retail staff is very patient and knowledgeable about all our products. They are more than happy to answer questions about allergens, ingredients, or their personal favorite treats!
