What Are The Ingredients In Mikes Hard Lemonade
Though a specific ingredient list is not listed, Mikes Hard Lemonades website does answer a few questions on some ingredients. As the products are classified as beer, under federal law the beverages do not require ingredient or nutritional labeling as regulated by the Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. Fresh lemon juice and a patented neutral malt base along with high fructose corn syrup and cane sugar.
The alcohol is made from a fermented malt base as is most traditional beer. Rebiana-A, a sweetener is grown from the stevia plant, is also found in a standard bottle of Mikes Hard Lemonade as per its website. The site goes on to say that no aspartame or phenylalanine goes into its beverages. Trace levels of sulphites less than found in a glass of wine may be found in a Mikes Hard drink.
The products are considered vegan, and though yeast is used in the fermenting process, a special device called a proprietary multi-stage filtration process removes the yeast from the malt. The multi-filtration process removes gluten from the drinks. Introduced in 1999, Mikes leads the flavored malt beverage category, the fastest growing style in the alcohol industry. According to a press release from Illinois governor Pat Quinns office, Mikes Hard moved its U.S. headquarters to Chicago.
Truly Hard Seltzer Has Turned Its Lemonade Flavors Into Boozy Ice Pops
Talk about a summer must-have.
Truly is known for its hard seltzers, but last year, it mixed it up with new lemonade varieties. For summer 2021, the brand has turned those cans into ice pops which yes, that means youll get a buzz as you enjoy them.
While the Truly Lemonade Hard Seltzer Variety Pack features four flavors, the alcohol-filled ice pops will only feature three of them. Youll be able to get a box mixed with Original Lemonade, Mango Lemonade, and Strawberry Lemonade flavors. Sadly, that means the Black Cherry Lemonade isnt included. But these are solid flavors to have on hand during the summer months, if you ask us!
There is a bit of bad news here. Since theres a limited supply of the Truly Lemonade Freeze Pops, theyre only available in 26 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
The 12-count boxes are naturally gluten-free and have 80 calories and 5% ABV, which is similar to a can of Truly. Youll be able to snag the limited-edition Truly Lemonade Freeze Pops beginning at the end of June through summer 2021. Yes and no.
Mikes hard lemonades are made using grains that contain gluten, and they remove as much gluten as possible using their proprietary unique filtration process, and test each batch through the R5 Competitive ELISA test which shows how much gluten is included in the beverage.
Their goal for their beverages is to put out drinks that contain less than 5ppm of gluten per bottle, making it safe to be considered gluten free if we were following the FDAs regulations for gluten-free foods and beverages .
But were not using those regulations. To discuss alcohol, we look to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau for answers.
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau does not allow for any alcoholic beverage to have a gluten-free label or be considered gluten-free. Even though this company has done its best to remove the gluten, by law they cannot state that it is gluten-free. They do have a Crafted to Remove Gluten on their packaging.
This product is similar to gluten-removed beers, where it should be considered safe for folks who follow a gluten-free diet due to a gluten intolerance, but perhaps not for those who are Celiac.

I found out in the past week that the new Mikes Lite Hard Lemonade was gluten-free! How exciting is this? I knew that Aaron was stopping at the store on the way home, so I called him to see if he could pick me up some. He was able to find it right away and it even says Gluten-Free right on the front!
I was curious as to what the ingredients were since previously Mikes had been a malt beverage, which I have always been told is not gluten-free. This is the info I found on their website:
