No Bake Peanut Butter Bars Recipe Tips

Breakfast Cereal Reviews: Maple and Peanut Butter Cheerios

Making Honey Nut Cheerios Crumbs Use 5 Cups ofcereal to make 2 Cups of crumbs.

Gluten Free Oats For those of you sensitive to Cheerios use Certified Gluten Free Oats. Grind some up into a crumb consistency and use them in place of the cereal. I do not use oats in my peanut butter bars. Play with the oats amount in the recipe and how much they are processed into smaller pieces until you find an amount and texture you are happy with.

Chocolate Chips I like semisweet chocolate chipsfor my recipe. If you like milk chocolate go for it! The choice is yours.

Melting Chocolate Melt the chocolate in 30 secondintervals, stirring each time. The short time intervals will make sure thechocolate doesnt over heat. It needs to be smooth enough to spread.

Use Wet Hands Slightly damp hands make easy work ofpressing the peanut butter mixture into pan.

Make Them Dairy Free Use Dairy Free Chocolate Chips and Margarine to make this recipe dairy free.

Make Thick Bars Use an 8×8 or 9×9 Pan for thickerpeanut butter bars.

I think these Gluten Free No Bake Peanut Butter Bars aregoing to be a new favorite for those of you that dont bake or cant get enoughpeanut butter and chocolate. Easy, decadent, and no bake. Theres nothing left to say. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheerio Bars

If cereal is a breakfast food, does that mean its okay to start off the day with one of these peanut butter chocolate Cheerio bars?

This recipe calls for chocolate Cheerios, which by themselves arent super chocolaty. But thats actually perfect. The Cheerios complement the peanut butter bars, and no one flavor dominates the other. Topped with a chocolate brown sugar frosting and a colorful Sprinkle Pop mix.

The bars are both a little bit crunchy because of the Cheerios and a little bit chewy thanks to the marshmallow creme and peanut butter.

For a similar recipe that uses rice cereal instead of Cheerios, check out Grandmas Peanut Butter Crisp Bars.

This is a no-bake recipe that comes together easily. But I do recommend measuring out the ingredients in advance. You need to work quickly once you take the sugar and corn syrup off the stove, before the bar mixture sets. The same goes for the frosting.

Speaking of the frosting, be sure to sift the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, otherwise it may be lumpy. Use a fine-meshed colander if you dont have a sifter.

Fluffernutter Cereal Snack Bars

Fluffernutter Cereal Snack Bars make these delicious treats with gluten-free Cheerios and Chex peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and optional chocolate. The perfect summertime snack.

If youve never heard of a fluffernutter, its marshmallow fluff + peanut butter together in a sandwich.

You either think it sounds really weird or really delicious. But as long as you like both ingredients then youll love them together.

I have fond memories of fluffernutters from childhood summers!

I ended up using the Cheerios and Corn Chex as the base, but you can get creative with your cereals!

Since I always like to give the option to add more chocolate into your life, you can also throw in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the mix.

What Is Fortified Cereal

Most grains, cereal bars, and cereals are fortified, meaning minerals and vitamins are added. Cheerios are a fortified cereal meaning it contains added vitamins and minerals, such as iron, vitamin B3, zinc, folic acid, and vitamin B12. These vitamins and minerals are added to increase the nutritional content of the cereal as refined whole grains lose most of the nutrients when processed.

Food with added vitamins and minerals may seem like a healthy choice, however, some fortified cereals have been found to be over fortified which has been harmful to consumers, according to a report from the Environmental Working Group. Its also better to get vitamins and minerals directly from whole food ingredients that skip processing.

Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Fans Youre Going To Love The New Flavor Of Cheerios

It’s cereal, so it still counts as breakfast, right?

Are you a fan of the match-made-in-heaven flavor combination that is chocolate and peanut butter? I mean, who isnt?

Its what makes Reeses Peanut Butter Cups such a perfect treat. For those who cant get enough of the sweet and nutty taste, Cheerios has announced the release of a new flavor, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios. The snack-sleuthing Instagram account @candyhunting released a photo of the new cereal along with a caption that reads, New Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios will be out soon! You heard it here first!

https://www.instagram.com/p/BZGvZMVhViY/

Admittedly, the exciting new flavor is not the first chocolate-and-peanut-butter-flavored cereal to hit grocery shelves. Reeses released their own cereal based on their popular candy, Reeses Puffs, back in 1994. Nor is it the only unique Cheerios flavor. The cereal also comes in Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon Burst and Banana Nut, to name a few.

Still, the latest installment in Cheerios flavor lineup has fans pretty excited. On Sept. 19, Cheerios released their own photo of the new cereal on their official Instagram page:

https://www.instagram.com/p/BZO6EwABHKS/

The caption reads, TA-DA! Meet our delicious new Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios! Real Cocoa. Real Peanut Butter. Coming Real Soon.

And people on Instagram went wild.

Take my money !! #excited, read one comment.

So what do you think? Will you give the new flavor a try?

I love Cheerios. Its one of my favorite cereals for breakfast. I try to stick with oats for breakfast cereal because it is much more filling and full of protein to get you through the day. Cheerios is not just great for breakfast, but its perfect for after school snacks or late night snacks, too.

These treats have full size peanut butter cups hidden right in the middle. The heat from the melted marshmallows melts the peanut butter cups into chocolate peanut buttery goodness!
