A Complete List Of All Gluten Free Vegan & Dairy Free Halloween Candy 2020
Being gluten free, vegan and/or dairy free doesnt mean you have to miss out on the candy Holiday of the world, Halloween! Over the many many many years that Ive been gluten free I have learned a lot about this lifestyle and have become an expert at reading labels and nutrition information. So, I wanted to take this knowledge and formate it into a post that would be helpful to anyone in the same situation as me. I also included vegan and dairy free candy options for those who have either of those food allergies as well.
I did my best with this list but like with everything there are probably some candies I missed. I will do my best to keep this updated with new candy that has come out and/or ones that have been discontinued. Also, this list contains only gluten free, vegan and dairy free candy, it does not branch out to soy free, dye free, nut free, shellfish free or the other major allergens.
This post will be broken up into three sections. Section 1- gluten-free. Section 2- Vegan. Section 3- Dairy-free.
Note: Use this post only as a guide. Candy ingredients can change at any time so be sure to ALWAYS read the ingredients before buying. As I said above I will do my best to keep this list up to date with new information.

What Are Gf Levels
As previously mentioned, those who have been diagnosed with celiac disease can suffer with potentially life-threatening illnesses if they eat foods which contain gluten. There is currently no cure for celiac disease, and the only way to manage it is to avoid eating gluten.
For a product to be considered gluten-free, it has to have less than 20 ppm, or 20 parts per million, of gluten detected in the food. So for those concerned with gluten being in their foods, they need to look for foods which are labeled as gluten-free. This will mean that the food has met the clear standard for having a level of gluten that most people with celiac disease can tolerate.

How To Shop For Dairy Free Gluten Free Snacks
Luckily these days, there are actually a lot of dairy free gluten free snacks on the market, as well as recipes you can make yourself. If youre just starting to eat with these restrictions, you might feel a little overwhelmed though! Here are some tips when youre shopping for snacks at the store:
First, lets start with dairy, because thats the easier one. Dairy is one of the top 8 food allergens, so it must be listed on a food label either in plain language or in a Contains: Milk statement.
If you dont see any dairy in the ingredients or in an allergen statement, you can rest assured that it should be fine to eat. Just dont forget to thoroughly look at the ingredients manufacturers do not have to use the contains statement as long as it is clear in the ingredients.
Gluten is a little trickier, because manufacturers are not legally required to label for gluten itself . The Gluten Intolerance Group has a complete list of ingredients to avoid, as well as a handy reference card that you can also download and use when eating away from home.
If you are avoiding gluten due to celiac disease or a sensitivity, look for the following options when shopping:
Also, be aware of products that include a statement about possible cross-contamination. Just because a product doesnt include ingredients with gluten doesnt mean that the product has not been contaminated with gluten during processing.
