Ingredients In The Orange Chicken Sauce:

For a healthier take on the sweet, thick, and sticky sauce I wanted to stick to as many natural ingredients as possible and most importantly avoid adding any refined sugar which is almost always the most prevalent ingredient in a restaurant or store-bought orange chicken sauce. Heres what youll need for the sauce:

  • Gluten free soy sauce
  • Pure orange juice
  • Orange zest
  • Ginger
  • Cornstarch

The coconut palm sugar and orange juice add the perfect amount of sweetness to the sauce, and the cornstarch gives it a nice thick consistency to coat the chicken.

What Is The Difference Between General Tso And Orange Chicken

General Tso and orange chicken are very similar. The chicken is prepared the same way and is fried until light golden brown.

The major difference between the two is the sauce. General Tsos chicken is sweet, savory, and spicy. It is not made with orange juice and uses more red pepper or chili flakes.

How To Make Gluten Free Chicken Marsala

This easy chicken marsala recipe is so simple.

  • Slice chicken breasts lengthwise to make 4 thin chicken cutlets. Season each with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a shallow bowl, mix together 1/4 cup almond meal flour and the garlic powder. Dredge each chicken cutlet in the flour mixture and set aside,
  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon butter with 1/2 tablespoon olive oil over medium/high heat. Swirl the butter around to make sure the entire base of the skillet is coated. Place the four chicken breasts into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until fully cooked through and browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon butter and 1/2 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet and swirl to melt, scraping the brown bits off the bottom Add the garlic and cook for approximately 2 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
  • Add in the mushrooms and tomatoes and stir to cover in the butter and oil. Add a splash of chicken broth and cook for about 5 minutes, until the mushrooms are browned and the tomatoes are cooked but still retaining their shape. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the remaining 1/4 cup almond meal flour and stir to combine.
  • Add in the rest of the chicken broth, marsala, oregano, and parsley. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer, cooking/reducing for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve hot, sprinkled with more chopped parsley. Enjoy!
  • Does The Almond Flour Coating Work

The first time I made this recipe, I worried about the almond flour coating. I wasn’t sure if it would adhere well to the chicken, and be sturdy enough to withstand frying.

So I was happy to discover that while admittedly a bit more fragile than breadcrumbs, almond flour works very well as a coating. I do recommend, however, that you use a nonstick frying pan in this recipe.

    How To Make This Recipe

Start by adding sliced carrots to melted butter in a soup pot over medium heat. Season with homemade seasoned salt and pepper then place a lid on top and saute until the carrots are tender, 5-6 minutes.

Next add good quality long grain white rice, dried minced onion, and dried minced garlic then stir to coat the rice in the butter and saute for one minute.

Again, if you dont use the right rice youll end up with mush, so I recommend using good quality rice like Lundberg.

Add dried parsley and chicken stock to the pot then bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to medium-low then simmer for 10 minutes. Next, season chicken breasts that have been chopped into bite-sized pieces with seasoned salt and pepper then add to the soup pot and continue to simmer until the rice is al dente and the chicken is cooked through, 10-15 additional minutes.

Last step is to remove the pot from the heat, place a lid on top, and let sit for 5 minutes. Finally, stir in more butter and season with additional seasoned salt and pepper if necessary.

One Pot Chicken and Rice will thicken a bit as it cools and tastes best warm vs piping hot so give it a little rest then scoop into bowls and call in your crew. I hope you love this easy and comforting dish as much as we do enjoy!

Vietnamese Chicken Salad With Rice Noodles

This is an entirely different kind of chicken salad, and it’s one you’ll be craving morning, noon, and night. Rice noodles, crunchy carrots, and cabbage are paired with a bold-flavored serrano pepper dressing. At less than 400 calories a serving, this gluten-free chicken recipe will satisfy your hunger.

    How To Make Chicken Cutlets

Almond Flour Chicken uses chicken cutlets rather than breasts t0 reduce cooking time. Chicken cutlets are boneless, skinless breasts that have been cut to make two thinner halves.

Some recipes, such as Spinach Artichoke Chicken, leave the deep slit without cutting through to make a stuffed chicken pocket. Recipes such as this one, Baked Buffalo Chicken or Low Carb Sun Dried Tomato Chicken uses butterflied chicken cut through to make thinner cutlets.

You can purchase thin cut chicken cutlets or buy breasts and make your own.

  • First make a deep slit in the middle of the breast, lengthwise.
  • Cut all the way across until you almost reach other side, so it will open like a book.
  • If you need thinner cutlets, like for this recipe, cut down the middle of the crease. You end up with two, thinner thickness halves.
  • To make sure the chicken breasts cook evenly they should be even thickness throughout. At this point use a meat tenderizer to pound the chicken into even thickness. If you dont have a meat tenderizer mallet, gently pounding with a rolling pin will also work.

DELICIOUS & EASY Chicken Piccata / Gluten Free Chicken Recipe

Yes! I like to make the simplest vegetable bouillon powder for this recipe, since I use it to make gluten free Rice a Roni all the time.

But I also sometimes substitute the bouillon with our gluten free taco seasoning with great results. Serve it with sriracha mixed with mayonnaise or sour cream, but only if you want rave reviews!

Since the batter is so thick, it really clings to the chicken. So all of those spices make it into the chicken youre eating.

The vegetable bouillon powder just adds a rich, chicken-style flavor to the stripseven though its vegetarian.

Be sure not to just leave out the herbs and spices, then. Youll want that flavor!
