How To Make An Ice Cream Float
With the popularity of the Pumpkin Spice Cream Cold Brew, I thought it might also be fun to serve this pumpkin ice cream as a coffee float.
Simply add a scoop of ice cream to your favorite black coffee, and then stir it in for a creamy pumpkin-flavored coffee creamer. I like a ratio of 8 ounces of cold coffee to 1 large scoop of ice cream, for a coffee that is lightly sweetened and creamy, but feel free to experiment with it!
You could also serve this as an affogato dessert, with a shot of hot espresso poured over a scoop of pumpkin ice cream. So good.
How To Make Ice Cream Bread

Its important to line your loaf pan with a sheet of parchment paper. Otherwise, you will definitely have trouble removing the loaf of dessert bread from the pan.
Whisking dry ingredients together may not seem important but it really is! Like a traditional vegan bread recipe, this bread uses a leavening agent to help the loaf rise. If the baking powder isnt fully incorporated with the other dry ingredients, the loaf may not rise properly.
Combine the ice cream into the dry ingredients by stirring it in with a wooden spoon. Keep stirring until a smooth batter is formed it should look like the photo below.
Then, stir in any additional ingredients of your choice.
Be sure to wait until the cake is completely cool before you remove it from the pan. Use the parchment paper to help loosen the bread from the sides of the loaf pan.

How To Store An Ice Cream Cake
Once youve decorated your cake, you probably want to store it before youre going to serve. I recommend storing the cake in the freezer with the decorations on. After 15 minutes in the freezer, you can gently and carefully cover it with plastic wrap, but generally, the cake shouldnt dry out, as the buttercream offers insulation to keep it moist.
About an hour before youre ready to serve the ice cream cake, transfer the cake to the fridge to start to thaw. This will allow the cake to become soft again. Then serve and slice the ice cream cake!

Crazy Magical Ice Cream Bread Vegan And Gluten
I love making this easy recipe. I have used plain vanilla ice cream and added in all sorts of fresh fruits and used several ice cream flavours which didnt need any additions. This version used Coconut Bliss Naked Coconut ice cream and I added the zest and juice of 1 lime then topped it with organic roasted coconut flakes. I think the next time I make this version I may add some additional coconut to the mixture or cut back on the lime. Coconut is a very delicate flavour and my results were leaning more towards the lime flavours almost over powering the coconut instead of complimenting. In the end, I was still happy with the results. I did use my favourite Gluten-free AP blend and added baking powder and salt to make it self-rising, if you dont worry about the gluten, use your normal flour and add 1t baking powder and 1/4 t salt per 3/4 cup of flour to make it self-rising.
- 1 1/2 C self-rising flour
- 2 C ice cream
- Lightly grease a loaf pan
- Mix the ice cream and flour together with an electric mixer
- Pour mixture into your pan and bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
I added in the zest and juice of a lime to this recipe, I love the combination of lime and coconut.
Once your batter is mixed, spread it into your loaf pan or line a muffin tin and using an ice cream scoop fill the muffin liners. I topped these with roasted coconut flakes.
Pop them into a 350F degree oven and bake.
They turned out lovely. Nicely browned and absolutely delicious!

Actually, the first coconut condensed milk I came across was in a favourite local wholefood store. So, check and shop local first if possible.
I do confess to being a little excited when I found it. Actually excitement doesnt do the reaction justice I was seriously ecstatic Resulting in an almost possessive siege-like mentality .
Looking around suspiciously to see whether anyone else might have spotted my find almost the whole shelf-load was bundled into a basket, before I sidled up to the counter trying to look normal.

Where Can I Find Coconut Condensed Milk To Make Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream
Although cans of coconut milk are easy to find in the supermarket , coconut condensed milk can be harder to source. The effort to track it down however, is more than worth it.
For vegan baking and treat making, it has become one of my favourite ingredients. In addition to Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream, it has been used in a vegan version of Lemon Tart with Dark Chocolate & Ginger and is a key ingredient in our incredible Cranberry & Apricot Vegan Seeded Flapjacks too.
You can find the Natures Charm medium cans at Ocado and some Holland and Barrett stores. And also in Vegan on-line stores such as Vegan Kind. Amazon do offer, but it is hideously expensive in comparison to other sources.
