Pizza Hut Gluten Free
Gluten free pizza that is as tasty as the traditional one can be hard to come by. When I heard that Pizza Hut partnered with Udis gluten-free, I somewhat knew that it will be good!
Pizza Hut gluten-free Pepperoni
The thin, crispy crust is provided by Udis to Pizza Hut stores nationwide. It is made in a dedicated gluten-free certified facility. If you are concerned about the cross-contamination of gluten, I recommend speaking to the staff. It varies location to location in the attention to make sure meals are truly being prepared according to recommendations.
The crust and toppings are tasty and reminiscent of classic pizza I used to enjoy before I was celiac diagnosed. I like that there is the option to modify tour pizza with different toppings. I also like that the pizza box is clearly labeled as gluten free. Also receipts are also noted Gluten-free. All these little things give me that confidence that preparation of my pizza was taken very seriously.
It is just awesome that good gluten-free pizza is now readily available!

I Found A Light And Satisfying Dinner At Subway
After loading up on tacos at lunch, I decided to give Subway another go.
The sandwich chain has been struggling in recent years. Bloomberg reported that sales fell 1.7 percent last year to about $11.3 billion as customers flock to healthier fast casual alternatives such as Panera and Sweetgreen. In a bid to win back customers, it has been removing artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives from its US menu.
What I ate: Broccoli and cheddar soup.
The verdict: Although this soup looked pretty stodgy, it tasted good and it was the only major fast-food chain that I could find that served soup.

For More Information On The Differences Between Gluten
When asked if I eat out from restaurants now that I have celiac disease, I answer Yes, but only with the proper planning and in the right places. AND I have lots of advice on how to do so intelligently and safely:
Before you were diagnosed with celiac disease, running out to grab a quick bite to eat where someone else had to do the cooking and cleaning up was a luxury you may not have fully appreciated. Now that you have some idea of the hazards of eating gluten, you may feel too frightened to leave the confines of your own gluten-free kitchen.
A study of Canadians living with celiac disease reported that more than half of the families with celiac members reported that they avoided restaurants all or most of the time, despite the fact that four out of five people generally report that going out to eat at a restaurant is a better way to use their leisure time than cooking and cleaning up!
Living gluten free is not about living in a bubble though, so I urge you to put your fears on the shelf of your gluten-free flour cupboard and close the door!
Since most celiacs surveyed have indicated that their quality of life would be improved if there were more gluten-free choices at restaurants, it is imperative that you learn how to successfully navigate the restaurant world as a celiac wanting to live a better life.
Before you run back out to McDonalds, though, a few important pointers are useful:

Celiac Disease: Millions Undiagnosed
Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder in which the body mistakes gluten for a virus and attacks the small intestine, damaging the villi which prevents proper nutrient absorption.
Gluten is a family of proteins found in wheat, barley, rye and triticale, and can be found in an array of foods at your grocery store, from bread, crackers and pasta to soups, sauces and salad dressing. Some medications even contain gluten.
According to the Celiac Disease Foundation, 1 out of every 100 people worldwide are believed to have celiac disease, but 2.5 million Americans remain undiagnosed. The impact can be devastating, ranging from digestive and developmental issues in children to liver problems, anemia, arthritis, migraines, anxiety and even seizures in adults.
If left untreated, celiac disease puts people at risk for other autoimmune diseases, heart disease and some cancers, the foundation says.

When I am on the go I usually head to Chipotle. It is the hands-down winner in the gluten-free category. I have loved Chipotle for years. I enjoy how it tastes and the healthier options they have on offer.
They have a couple of really good options there. You can get either bowls or meals with a corn tortilla . You can even order online and pick up your food later. In your pajamas, for example
Tip: If you are really concerned about cross-contamination, ask your server to change the gloves before the start of your order. I love how accommodating the staff is. They even get fresh ingredients for your order from the back, all in very efficient manner. Thanks, guys!

It Wouldn’t Be A True Fast Food Test Without Burger King So I Went There For Lunch
The gluten-free options at Burger King are pretty limited. It’s a choice between either a meat patty or a garden fresh salad with tendergrill chicken and fries.
What I ate: Garden fresh salad with grilled chicken.
The verdict: This was a mistake, I should have gone down the burger route. The chicken didn’t taste nearly as juicy as the chicken I had at Chick-fil-A they day before.
Burger Kings Bunless Whopper
This is one of Burger Kings top performing meals and definitely a good option if you have gluten intolerance. You can consume it with any milkshake flavor though, the more popular flavors are vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. You can also eat it with breakfast syrup as both go perfectly well together and wont disturb your sensitive digestive tract.

Youll Likely Want To Get Beyond Mcdonalds And Burger King To Find The Best Reliable Gluten
Celiac.com 02/04/2019 – With the rise in popularity of the gluten-free diet, and with more people being diagnosed with Celiac disease, more restaurants are offering gluten-free alternatives. While this is a great advancement, its important to note that not all gluten-free restaurant choices are created equal. Even if food is labelled gluten-free, the risk of cross-contamination could still be high, especially given the speed with which food is prepared.
We see a lot of questions about gluten-free and gluten-safe fast food. One especially prominent question was Is Burger King gluten-free? The answer to that is that there is almost nothing gluten-free or gluten-safe at Burger King.
Celiac.com Sponsor :There are far better options than Burger King in the otherwise bleak gluten-free landscape of American fast food. In fact, if you want reliable gluten-free and gluten-safe options, youll probably want to get beyond Burger King and McDonalds.

Chipotles Barbacoa Bowl with meat, vegetables, pico de gallo, hot tomato salsa, lettuce, and guacamole is also pretty high on my list.

The ingredients list: Barbacoa, brown rice, fajita vegetables, fresh tomato salsa, cheese, guacamole, romaine lettuce.
The typical 19oz serving size contains 755 calories, 42g fat, 53g carbs and 37g proteins.

When handling your food dunkin donuts has a lot of gluten free drinks and coffee/tea options, but very few food options. Many fried breakfast foods, like eggs, mushrooms, potatoes, sausages, and bacon, are naturally gluten free.
Add the salt and pepper and mix until combined. If you’re fortunate enough to discover a wendys, rejoice! Once hot, add the balls of potatoes and press down to flatten.
They have one of the more diverse gluten free fast food menus among the totally different chains. *overall, mcdonald’s foods are so overly processed that this is probably the most unhealthy place you could possibly eat. Next, transfer the grated potatoes into a large mixing bowl.
I have not eaten here in over a year. Ask staff to switch out tongs, gloves, etc. These are all of the side options at mcdonalds that do not contain wheat or gluten.
In any restaurant, it is very difficult to prevent cross contamination. If you are gluten free, i would recommend staying away from mcdonalds hash browns. These shredded potato hash brown patties are prepared so theyre fluffy on the inside and crispy and toasty on the outside.
