Beach Street Grill Organic Restaurant

Beach Street Grill in Fishermans Wharf has breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but its their breakfast options that are really worth gloating about. With pancakes, Eggs Benedict, French toast, sausages, omelettes, and freshly squeezed orange juice, Beach Grills has all the breakfast goodies celiacs only dream of! The celiac-friendly restaurant uses a separate grill, toaster, and utensils for gluten-free food and the staff are knowledge about what is gluten-free and cross-contamination! The food is really good, but its pricey, especially since you are charged extra for gluten-free options. I guess I shouldnt expect anything less, as it is in a super touristy area.

Gluten Free Restaurants In Marin County California

Copita : First of all, they catered our wedding, which is probably the only endorsement you need. Great 100% gluten free Mexican food in Sausalito in an unbeatable location. I highly recommend starting with a walk from SF across the Golden Gate Bridge and down to Sausalito, and a nice dinner here .

Flour Craft Bakery : This 100% gluten free bakery has two locations in Marin. One in Mill Valley, about 20 minutes north of San Francisco, super close to some of the best hiking in California on Mt. Tamalpais and Tennessee Valley and the Marin Headlands, and one in the cute town of San Anselmo a little further north. Theyre one of my favorite gluten free bakeries in the country.

They make a variety of gluten free baked goods, including cookies, scones, muffins, and donuts, but the star of the show is their breads. Although I will say that their scones are among the best Ive ever had.

The walnut sourdough and the brioche are outstanding, and are well worth the trip to Marin. I buy it in bulk and send it around the country to people who have had it while visiting me in San Francisco. Its that good.

Mas Masa : Mexican Restaurant in Fairfax, California with a mostly gluten free menu. Perfect lunch or dinner after a lovely Marin hike! CHIPS ARE NOT SAFE FOR CELIACS DUE TO POTENTIAL FOR CROSS-CONTAMINATION. Everything else is safe. Get the pozole if they have it, and the tacos al pastor!

Copita Tequileria Y Comida

Just across the famous Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito is the popular upscale-y Mexican restaurant Copita Tequileria y Comida. The food is great but the price, not so much! Nonetheless, Copita is a great gluten-free restaurant in San Francisco for celiacs as nothing on the menu is off limits thanks to it being a 100% dedicated gluten-free restaurant. The seasonal menu is filled with classic Mexican dishes like tacos, empanadas, guacamole, salsa & chips, and even ceviche. Regardless of what you go for, youll start with complimentary jicama and cucumber with chile salt and end with a few shots of tequila! I mean, is it really a Mexican meal without margaritas or tequila shots? Luckily Copita is also a tequila bar with over 100 tequilas and mezcals, so if youre looking for a place to enjoy happy hour or have fun, Copitas Tequila Bar is your spot!

Celiac Note: Copita no longer uses gluten-removed beer batter for the cod but they do serve non-gluten-free beer.
