Its no surprise that food chains are struggling to keep their heads above water while our stock market drops. However, Round Table Pizza has rolled out an extra thin crust to lure weight conscious buyers into to their unhealthy restaurants. Check out the Nutrition facts on this once naughty meal.

Looking at the nutrition facts, you can see that the fat intake isnt much different because they arent changing the toppings. However, when you look at the carbohydrates you will see that they are nearly half the amount as the original pan crust pizza. Calorie wise, there is a difference of about 100 total. In the long term, that 100 calorie difference could mean a change of 1 pound in one month, and 12 pounds in a year!
So if you are going to eat pizza think thin crust or Skinny Crust.

I love their glute- free crust for pizzas I can eat without screwing up my diet needs. Only in medium size so far, but you can chose your ingredients and even split the pizza toppings into two sides. I’ve always been a fan of Round Table in general, but this location works really well and is an upgrade of the last location. Service is fine and food comes in a timely manner.

How To Make Gluten Free Mini Pizzas
There’s a full printable recipe card below but I have a few pictures here to show you the best way to shape your gluten free mini pizzas.
You’ll want to use a 12-hole muffin tin for these to make sure they’re all even and form a little cup shape in the middle.
Once you’ve made the gluten free pizza dough and let it prove, it’s time to break it into 12 even pieces.
Lightly grease the tin and then shape each piece of dough into the holes, so it forms a little cup shape.
Then simply add passata, cheese and your chosen toppings, bake and enjoy!
You don’t want to overfill the cups because the pizza dough will rise in the oven.
Also too much passata could make the base go soggy – I went for a teaspoon per pizza.

For anyone with common food allergies, such as dairy, tree nuts, soy, and dairy, Round Table Pizza has items that will fit your allergen-specific needs. However, you could encounter cross contamination in the kitchen and should stay mindful of what you order.

Gluten Free Mini Pizzas Ingredients
There’s a full printable recipe card below, but for the shopping list you’ll need:
- 200ml milk
- 1 heaped tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
I always use the FREEE gluten free white bread flour, but if you can’t find this you want a gluten free flour blend which includes rice, potato and tapioca flour.
The recipe will work with a plain gluten free flour blend or all purpose mix but it will be a thousand times better with the bread flour!
The xanthan gum is important as this helps to provide some of the stretchy texture you’d normally get from the gluten.
If you want to make this recipe dairy free or vegan, then you can replace the milk with water or a dairy free milk.
I do find you get a better result using milk – and the pizza tends to keep and reheat better.
But it does still achieve a delicious result with water, it’s pretty similar to my gluten free focaccia bread recipe.

Which Yeast Is Gluten Free
I am based in the UK and there are several yeast products here which are gluten free and readily available.
I always use either the Allinson’s Easy Bake Yeast or the Dove’s Farm Quick Yeast.
You can also use the Allinson’s Time Saver Yeast, though be aware that you may not need to prove the dough for as long if you use this.
All of these yeasts are gluten free in the UK.
The Dove’s Farm one is certified gluten free and found in the free from aisle.
The Allinson’s yeasts are free from gluten and can be found with the ‘regular’ baking goods.

Round Table Pizza Bellingham
Was just here for lunch while visiting family in Bellingham. This was my first time here since COVID-19. They have tables blocked off for social distancing. You still order from the counter, but its a little awkward.. in addition to barriers, they have a table…in front to distance you even more so its hard to swipe your credit card. The salad bar is open which was strange as I didnt think it would be allowed, but I wanted it so was pleasantly surprised. You fo course use a clean plate, but they also have your wear gloves each time. Soda was self serve, no refills of same cup though, always get a clean cup. I appreciated all of this. Less items on the salad bar then before, probably because of covid…. I always liked their honey mustard dressing which is no longer available. I was the only one in the place, and every booth was dirty and most of the tables were dirty and all the employees were in the kitchen talking. I cleaned off a booth and sat down … they brought my pizza out which was delicious, she looked around and cleared one other table, but left the rest dirty which was confusing. The pizza was good as normal, but they could def. use a reminder from management to keep the dining room clean, especially when I counted 4 – 5 employees talking, and 7+ dirty tables. Once again though, Ill be back because the pizza is great and employees are friendly. If it was cleaner I would give it a 5.More
