This is my favorite dietary-friendly restaurant in Orange County. It is 100% vegan, an added bonus. The menu has a wide variety of gluten-free options. Theres two locations in Costa Mesa, and there are a few menu items that are special to those locations. For starters, I recommend the corn chowder, purple taquitos, and the brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts are my absolute favorite
The warm cauliflower salad is deliciously filling and the jackfruit nachos are perfect to sharejackfruit seriously tastes like meat, its crazy! At the Costa Mesa location, you can get walnut chorizo enchiladas. A dish I normally cant order at Mexican restaurants due to the cheese, these enchiladas take me back to the good ol days where I could eat cheese. Its astounding how nuts can be soaked and transformed into cheese! I just tried the bibimbap bowl yesterdaynot my favorite, but if you like those flavors, and spice, then it may be for you. I thought the steamed kale was too chewy, and the cauliflower was too crunchy.
Dessertthe best for last. The banana pudding at the South Coast location is fire! Just listen to this description: house made gluten free oreos, cashew milk based banana pudding, salted caramel, crushed banana chips. It doesnt get any better than that! They also have gluten-free cookiesthe one I had was crumbly and dry, so I wouldnt really recommend it.

I made this lemon cake for two friends over the Christmas holidays who are on gluten-free diets, and they were both over the moon. Last week, I tried an orange version which was wonderful, except for being just a little too sweet. Im weird, and I never ate my sushi with soy sauce in the first place, so its not too big of a deal. This is my favorite sashimi roll by farits rice-less and wrapped in soy paper. Other restaurants even serve this in a cucumber roll!

I have tried so many gluten free waffles/ pancakes and am almost always utterly disappointed. It’s so disheartening to pick at stiff cardboard like circles while someone at the next table has a wonderful fluffy delicious stack of gluten filled pancakes. Luckily there is Flappy Jacks. This place has tons of different gluten free waffles and pancakes to choose from. Some of my favorites include: blueberry, pecan, bacon, and banana nut but they are all wonderful. It is not the healthiest place in the world so we order it without the whipped cream and powdered sugar.
