I know its hard. It takes about ten minutes to make these Cheerios cereal bars. Then they will need to sit for about twenty minutes before you cut them.

Yes, according to the Lucky Charms website, the Original Lucky Charms cereal is gluten free even though the cereal contains commodity oats. Again, while oats are naturally gluten free, they are highly cross contaminated with wheat during the harvesting and manufacturing processes.

Cheerios Chocolate Peanut Butter Review | Cereal Filler

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gluten-Free Cheerios.

Did you know that five flavors of Cheerios are now gluten free? You can learn all about how they make sure their oats are gluten free HERE. Its really fascinating! Cheerios sent me boxes of their gluten free cereals to try, so you know what I had to do? Make something yummy with them!

I whipped up some Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cup Cheerios Bars. They are perfect for the peanut butter cup lover, AND they are totally gluten free!

While my husband doesnt have a positive gluten allergy, he is very sensitive to it, so I try to limit gluten in the things I make. I was thrilled when I found out Cheerios had five of their flavors completely gluten free. Yellow Box Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, MultiGrain Cheerios, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and Frosted Cheerios are now all Gluten Free. You can find the label right on the box!

I love Cheerios. Its one of my favorite cereals for breakfast. I try to stick with oats for breakfast cereal because it is much more filling and full of protein to get you through the day. Cheerios is not just great for breakfast, but its perfect for after school snacks or late night snacks, too.

These treats have full size peanut butter cups hidden right in the middle. The heat from the melted marshmallows melts the peanut butter cups into chocolate peanut buttery goodness!

Why are they making Cheerios gluten free now?

It began with Phil Zietlow, an engineer at General Mills for more than 50 years. When he discovered his daughter-in-law, Joyce, was diagnosed with Celiac disease, Phil set off on an almost 6-year mission to make Gluten Free Cheerios. About one percent of the population has Celiac disease, but nearly 30% of the population is avoiding gluten. Now General Mills wants everyone to be able to enjoy Cheerios!

How are they making Cheerios gluten free?

Gluten Free Cheerios were achieved by changing the ingredient-sorting process not the ingredients themselves. There is one exception MultiGrain Cheerios which was reformulated to include sorghum and millet instead of wheat and barley.

You can find Gluten-Free Cheerios by looking for the Gluten-Free seal on packaging. Its beginning to appear in stores now, but will be almost fully available in September.

No Bake Peanut Butter Bars Recipe Tips

Making Honey Nut Cheerios Crumbs Use 5 Cups ofcereal to make 2 Cups of crumbs.

Gluten Free Oats For those of you sensitive to Cheerios use Certified Gluten Free Oats. Grind some up into a crumb consistency and use them in place of the cereal. I do not use oats in my peanut butter bars. Play with the oats amount in the recipe and how much they are processed into smaller pieces until you find an amount and texture you are happy with.

Chocolate Chips I like semisweet chocolate chipsfor my recipe. If you like milk chocolate go for it! The choice is yours.

Melting Chocolate Melt the chocolate in 30 secondintervals, stirring each time. The short time intervals will make sure thechocolate doesnt over heat. It needs to be smooth enough to spread.

Use Wet Hands Slightly damp hands make easy work ofpressing the peanut butter mixture into pan.

Make Them Dairy Free Use Dairy Free Chocolate Chips and Margarine to make this recipe dairy free.

Make Thick Bars Use an 8×8 or 9×9 Pan for thickerpeanut butter bars.

I think these Gluten Free No Bake Peanut Butter Bars aregoing to be a new favorite for those of you that dont bake or cant get enoughpeanut butter and chocolate. Easy, decadent, and no bake. Theres nothing left to say. Enjoy!

If youve never heard of a fluffernutter, its marshmallow fluff + peanut butter together in a sandwich.

You either think it sounds really weird or really delicious. But as long as you like both ingredients then youll love them together.

I have fond memories of fluffernutters from childhood summers!

I ended up using the Cheerios and Corn Chex as the base, but you can get creative with your cereals!

Since I always like to give the option to add more chocolate into your life, you can also throw in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the mix.

Review: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios Cereal From General Mills

Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Cheerio Bars (vegan ...

Ive long had a theory that every cereal a person could ever need can be formed through a triangulation of three primary flavors. The three corners of this Cerealluminati Pyramid are formed by chocolate, peanut butter, and strawberry. Think about it, sheeple people: while those three flavors are near-universally delightful by themselves, by pairing them you can make a choco-pb cereal, a PB& J cereal, or a chocolate fondued strawberry cereal.

And if you happen to find some hipster niche of cereal lovers that isnt pleased by any of those, you can just combine all three and tear a rift in space-time through sheer flavor alchemy.

New Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios are proof that my philosophy of breakfast geometry isnt so obtuse after allin fact, its pretty acute. See, even though General Mills has a near-monopoly on chocolate peanut butter breakfast cereals with Reeses Puffs, they still decided to release another cocoa-nutty product. Thats because, as a key bastion of my Cerealluminati Pyramid, the mouth-watering power of chocolate and peanut butter together really is that persuasively strong.

Unless, of course, my deeper conspiracy is true, in which case the prophecy of threes has yet to be fulfilled:

Conspiracy theory:Those Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios are holed-out Reese’s Puffs, so the holes can be used for a Reese’s Pieces Cereal.

    Cerealously

Not the contests winner, though. I hear that guys a nut.

I blame the heated seat for that one, too.

    Is Crispix Gluten Free

Crispix cereal is made of crunchy corn on one side and crispy rice on the other. Its not labeled gluten free.

Crispix ingredients include rice, milled corn, sugar, salt, molasses, brown rice syrup, baking soda, and turmeric extract. None of the ingredients noted seem to contain gluten, however, brown rice syrup may contain gluten despite its innocuous name.

Learn more about why brown rice syrup may contain gluten in my article, Is Yeast Extract Gluten Free and 20+ Other Confusing Ingredients.

Sure enough, Crispix tested positive for gluten when put to the Nima Sensor test. See that wheat symbol and Gluten Found message? That means Nima found gluten.
