You can order anything you want because it has each type of gluten-free item such as appetizers, salads, snacks, lunch, and burgers, etc.

You can eat a variety of gluten-free desserts which are not available in other restaurants, i.e., White Chocolate, Godiva Chocolate, Chocolate Cheesecake, Chocolate Truffle Cream, Vanilla Cake, Carrot Cake, etc.

You can also eat some gluten-free, low calories specialties in restaurants, i.e., Little House Salad, Edamame, Endive Salad, Cheese Balls, Swiss Cheese, Crispy Fried Cheese, Fontina Cheese, American Cheese, Arugula Salad, Mexican Chicken Lettuce Wrap Tacos, Grilled Artichoke, etc.

Recommendations For Eating Gluten Free At The Cheesecake Factory

I personally do not recommend eating at the Cheesecake Factory if youre on a strict gluten-free diet. There are too many unknowns and confusing things going on, especially the pasta confusion and inconsistencies.

However, if you still want to eat at the Cheesecake Factory despite this warning, consider these tips to doing so as safely as possible:

  • Order the least risky menu items. It appears that too much can go wrong with the pasta, so I highly recommend avoiding it altogether. They might use the same water to cook the gluteny pasta, or they might strain it in a shared or unclean strainer. Order, instead, foods that are as naturally gluten free as possible and require the least handling and processing.
  • Convey the seriousness of your allergy. If you cannot eat gluten, convey the seriousness of your diet to your server. As you know, many people are simply avoiding gluten, but many of you are on medically-necessary gluten-free diets and your server needs to know the difference.
  • Dont assume. Remember, the dishes are gluten-free upon request. This doesnt mean the dish is gluten free it means it can be made gluten free. There is a difference.
  • Ask for a slice of cheesecake from the back. My server didnt think he could get me a cheesecake from the back but the manager did just that. So ask both your server and/or manager to see if you can get a safe slice. Its worth it if you can make it happen because the cheesecake was the best part of the meal.

    Here Are A Few Reasons Why Cheesecake May Crack:

    • Too much air was incorporated too into the cheesecake batter. While it is important to thoroughly mix the ingredients, once the eggs are added try to mix until just incorporated to ensure that too much air isnt added to the batter.
    • The cheesecake was baked too long and it overcooked. The cheesecake is done when the edges are set and a 2 to 3-inch circle in the center is still wobbly. Once the cheesecake is fully cooled, the center of the cheesecake will become firm.
    • Drastic temperature changes during baking or cooling. Make sure the oven is completely heated before putting the cheesecake in, and dont continually open the oven door to check on the cheesecake for this reason as well. You want to keep an even temperature for baking. Also once you remove from oven, allow to cool at room temperature dont place it somewhere cold like the refrigerator.

    Of course, if you do end up with some cracks, thats okay! The cheesecake will still taste delicious! You can top your simple gluten-free cheesecake with dollops of whipped cream, fresh berries, or even a chocolate sauce to cover any cracks. No one will ever know the difference!

    Now for the fun part, we LOVED our whole gluten-free experience at The Cheesecake Factory! The service was exceptional. Before writing this post I asked around to see if anyone in my area had ever had a bad experience at The Cheesecake Factory? Everyone raved about the service. I find that service is hard to evaluate because it depends on the staff at a particular location. That said, our staff was excellent.

    There were gluten-free options in every section of the menu. Thank you very much! The three dishes we devoured were superb, actually, mouth-watering would be a better description. One of the times our attentive waitress checked in with us to see how we were doing my daughter exclaimed, This is the best cheeseburger I have ever had!. Now, it is worth noting that my daughter is quite enthusiastic but nun the less she felt this truth with all her heart.

    My Two Favorite Cheesecake Factory Choices

    There are two go to choices for me at the Cheesecake Factory. The first is the Bacon Bacon Burger. Its stacked high with cheese and bacon of course. The patties are always juicy and they use Udis gluten free burger buns which is nice.

    The second go to item is their Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake. It is hands down the best cheesecake Ive ever had. Be mindful with how rich it is. It is a good sized piece of cake, but very sharable. Its so sweet and filling, Aimee and I always share a piece. The only question is who gets to eat the chocolate bar on top? Its usually Aimee because I get the whipped cream! Thats a pretty fair trade to me!

    • Cornstarch helps prevent the eggs from over-coagulating and is a great addition for cheesecakes made without a water bath. Theres only one tablespoon of cornstarch in this recipe but it really does make a big difference and helps prevent cracking. Dont skip this!
    • Cream Cheese: Its best to use softened cream cheese. Use the full-fat kind too!
    • Eggs: Use room temperature eggs. I do not recommend using an egg substitutes.
    • Graham crackers: You can use any brand of gluten-free graham crackers that you would like that you can find easily near you or order online.

    Kinnikinnick Smoreables Graham style gluten-free crackers were used in this recipe. You can also make homemade gluten-free graham crackers using this gfJules graham cracker mix.

    While making cheesecake takes some time, at least there arent a bunch of complicated ingredients to fuss with!

    You may notice that we didnt use a water bath for this cheesecake. If youre wondering what a water bath is and does for a cheesecake, it is essentially a pan filled with water with the springform pan in the center. It helps keep the cheesecake moist and prevents cracking. I tend to not use a water bath when I bake my gluten-free cheesecakes and instead use a few other precautions to bake a perfectly smooth cheesecake.
