Their burgers are great. Their fries are great. Finding seats when it’s busy can be tricky because the place is fairly small and has a unique floor plan . The service is okay. It seems like there may be room for improvement in terms of order sequence and order accuracy. Being a particular person, I had to follow the process from ordering to completion because it seemed a little chaotic behind the counter. That being said, they haven’t messed up my order yet. Will return.
Sometimes a chain can get it right, in this case that is the case. Absolutely delicious burgers that are consistently great.
South St. Burger is not one of the franchises which happen all over Toronto. For a burger which is so surprisingly good, it is very surprising that there are not many many more branches. Literally have to search out for one of them and then sit back and enjoy a really juicy filling and satisfying burger. The preparation takes a bit of time but is cooked to your taste right in front of your eyes. There is a vast variety of sides on offer and you can experiment with the taste of each burger every time you eat one. There is no chance of getting bored with one taste. The burger itself is substantial. I am almost sorry I happened on South. It has spoilt me for all the others.
Gratify Gluten Free Pretzels Sesame Seed Thins
Taste test: These fairly flat, corn-based, ring-shaped pretzels were each a bit over an inch in diameter and were covered on both sides with a generous helping of sesame seeds. Most of the pieces had one fairly flat bottom side and more of a rounded top side, and generally the top sides had a much higher concentration of sesame seeds than the bottoms. There were also some large grains of salt, though it appeared that there were far less of them than there were sesame seeds.

We crunched in to find a brittle pretzel texture, noticeably different than wheat pretzels, plus a good mix of pretzel taste with sesame and occasional salt. There was a slight greasy aftertaste too. One of our snackers had fun with these by putting two pieces over her eyes. That was wacky!
