Where Is Del Maguey From

Del Maguey is not crafted in a single distillery but in an array of little distilleries across the Mexican state of Oaxaca.

Every release is produced by a different master distiller imprinting unique characteristics to the bottle. There are no two Del Maguey mezcals alike.

Del Maguey is a mezcal brand created by American artist Ron Cooper, the man responsible for igniting the mezcal movement in the United States.

Is Mezcal Gluten

Yes, pure, distilled mezcal is considered gluten-free. Like tequila, mezcal is made from the agave plant. However, be on the lookout for hidden gluten in mezcal brands that may add flavorings or other additives after distillation. There is also a risk for gluten cross-contact in facilities that process products containing wheat, barley, or rye.

Common Brands of Mezcal:

  • Alipus San Juan del Rio
