Gluten Free California Pizza Kitchen
Sometimes there is gluten free pizza, and sometimes there is certified gluten free pizza. California Pizza kitchen just so happens to fall in the category of certified gluten free. Certified gluten-free means something to anyone that is really serious about avoiding gluten. In order to get this certification, the pizza must be prepared using strict guidelines.
California gets this standard by using certified gluten free ingredients verified by suppliers as gluten free. The restaurant also has certain procedures in place to avoid the cross contamination with gluten containing pizzas. This is the highest standard that you could hope for in your search for truly gluten free pizza.
There are five pizzas that pass for certified gluten free at California Pizza Kitchen. Those pizzas include
- Original BBQ Chicken Pizza,
- Traditional Cheese pizza.
The restaurant will not certify any other combinations of pizzas as gluten free. These pizzas also come as a cauliflower crust only. For a while they served a rice flower pizza but discontinued that a few years ago.
Chicken Egg And Cheese Biscuit
Chick-fil-A is always open to adding available items to other items. Breakfast is the best time to cross the streams and get creative. The humble chicken biscuit is delicious on its own, but sometimes you want just a little extra protein to that. Just ask them for a chicken biscuit, add egg and cheese. Presto!
Is Their Chicken Sandwich Gluten
No. They have a grilled chicken sandwich as a menu item, but not a regular gluten-free sandwich.
Almost no fast food restaurants have gluten-free fried chicken sandwich options, which can be very frustrating for those with a gluten allergy.
Since there is no GF fried chicken sandwich option, I decided to come up with my own! I was tired of missing out on the chicken sandwich hype, so I made up my own recipe. My GF chicken sandwich recipe is so similar to a chicken sandwich that it will be hard to tell the difference making it the perfect gluten-free meal!

It Wouldnt Be A True Fast Food Test Without Burger King So I Went There For Lunch
The gluten-free options at Burger King are pretty limited. Its a choice between either a meat patty or a garden fresh salad with tendergrill chicken and fries.
What I ate: Garden fresh salad with grilled chicken.
The verdict: This was a mistake, I should have gone down the burger route. The chicken didnt taste nearly as juicy as the chicken I had at Chick-fil-A they day before.

How Else Can I Use These Breaded Chicken Breasts
If there is some leftover chicken or if you are looking for another way to use these breaded chicken breasts, I have a few ideas. Cooking a meal can be a lot of work, so use the leftovers to your advantage!

If you want to have breakfast at the popular fast food chain, McDonalds, but have gluten sensitivity then the options for you arent really many. Should You Use Peanut Oil In Copycat Chick
I know they use peanut oil however, I opted for a vegetable oil because we have peanut allergies in our family. I try to avoid having that oil in our home since the kitchen would quickly become cross-contaminated.
These would go perfectly paired with your favorite dipping sauce. I love their Polynesian Sauce, which is next on my list to try to make at home.
These nuggets are as simple as switching the flour from an all-purpose flour to a gluten free all-purpose flour.
How To Make A Chick
- Wash all the fruit thoroughly.
- Juice the lemon and put the lemon juice is a large mixing bowl. I like to us a citrus press to get out as much juice as possible. Remove any seeds from the bowl.
- Cut each of the apples into quarter, remove the cores. Place Chopped pieces of red apple and green apple pieces in the bowl with the lemon juice. Toss them to coat the apples in the lemon juice.
- Remove all the stems from the strawberries. Quarter them and add them to the mixing bowl with the apples.
- Remove any stems and leaves from the blueberries. Then add the blueberries to the large bowl as well.
- Loss the fruit in the bowl to thoroughly combine them together. Then gently stir in the mandarin oranges, being careful not to smash them as you mix them in.
- Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

- Many of Subways salads are gluten-free or can be made gluten-free. Ask that the server change his or her gloves and use fresh bins of food to reduce cross-contamination. A few Subway restaurants are testing the gluten-free market with gluten-free buns and have provided additional employee training in gluten sensitivity. This got started last year in Dallas, Portland and a few other cities to see if customers would actually buy a gluten-free sandwich. Evidently, the test was a success because Subway has just announced that they will be offering gluten-free sandwiches at all Subway locations in the state of Oregon!

Where Was The First Chick
The first Chick-Fil-A was opened in Hapeville, Georgia. Their first location was situated in a food court in Greenbriar Mall. Not The Experience At The One I Went To
I have a verified allergy and they let things touch. Not comfortable ordering food at the one near me. Salads were also not highlighted on the menu when I went last year, the only option I saw that looked safe were these grilled chicken nugget things. I think the menus may be regional, some staff get trained on food allergies here and some are not . Im also in a area thats denied me service because they werent comfortable with dealing with even low level food allergies. Its just easier and less scary and embarrassing to go to a place with an allergen menu.

Chick fil a is my familys favorite fast food restaurant. They handle food allergies very well. We have never had a cross-contamination issue, and we have eaten at several Chick fil as across the country. We especially enjoy the grilled chicken nuggets. They are very flavorful and tender. And of course we love the waffle fries and fresh lemonade. Last time we went there, I tried their new kale crunch salad that replaced the superfood salad. Its very good, kind of like a kale coleslaw, and its dairy free.
